Size & Fitting Guide

Overview

Stuck between two sizes? It is usually recommended to opt for the larger size to make your room feel more spacious and intentional. A rug anchors your furniture and enhances the balance and flow of the room. Choose a rug that complements the furniture layout and room size.

Living Room

For larger spaces, a common rug placement the rug extends beyond the furniture with the furniture sitting completely on the rug. The most used is when the rug sits under the front two legs of the sofa and chairs. Undersized rugs appear to float in the middle of the room without connecting furniture. They are most used when there is minimal furniture and smaller room dimensions, making the rug an individualistic feature.

Bedroom

A queen-sized bed, a 10’x8’ rug works well positioned underneath the bed and stopping right in front of the nightstands. With a king-sized bed 12’x9’ is the most widely used and recommended size. Making sure there is enough rug coverage framing the end of the bed and on each side of the bed will give the most cohesive look and feel.

Dining Room

A standard 9’x6’ rug accommodates most four-seater tables. A 10’x8’ helps ground the space of a six-seater table. Any table larger than this we recommend a 12’x9’ sized rug or larger. Choose a size large enough for when all chairs are pulled out the back legs still sit on the rug.
